What are the effects of teen depression?

Published by trixxie at 12:19 pm under 1 Edit This

If depression goes untreated, it can cause many problems.  Those problems can be one of these listed or they can be many.

Untreated depression can go as far as suicide, violence, reckless behavior, self injury, internet addiction, eating disorders, low self-esteem, substance abuse, problems at school or running away.

Your teen might not suffer from all of these, just one or two.  However it is still serious cause to keep a watchful eye on your teen.    Be nosy if you have to, look through their trash for suicide notes, look for scars on their bodies, and watch their eating habits.

Often a watchful parent notices these things and can prevent them.
