What exactly is Seasonal Affective Disorder?
SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) is a depression that has multiple types of depression into one. It includes bi-polar, Dysthymia, and major depression. It usually is affected by the weather changes throughout the year. It has specific symptoms that happen when dealing with SAD. It is like your body is going into hibernation with the colder winter days. You may eat more such as carbohydrates which will lead to weight gain. With all the extra calories you will feel that you need to go to bed earlier during the long days. You must deal with it for two straight years to be counted as SAD. The only way you will know is if you go see your primary physician.
